Course focuses on investigative journalism in hostile environments [Brazil]

Journalists and students interested in investigative journalism can attend this online course in Portuguese.

Espaço Cult will offer an investigative journalism course on April 13 to 16.

The course will be taught in four classes by Andréa Dip, special reporter and editor at Agência Pública.

Participants will learn how to conduct investigative journalism in the context of authoritarian governments through proven examples and strategies.

Among the topics are how to discover and pursue a good story, financing models, how to avoid reporting clichés, how to extract data from official sources, protocols and correct terms to talk about gender issues and more.

Registration is open, but spots are limited. The cost is BRL350.
