Students in Brazil can apply for a reporting grant.
Agência Pública, a nonprofit investigative journalism agency, has launched a journalism grants contest with a focus on mining, in partnership with Comitê em Defesa dos Territórios Frente à Mineração.
The contest seeks pitches for original and unpublished investigative reports in text, photo, video or infographics.
Four projects will be selected to receive BRL7,000 and mentorship from the agency. The stories will be published on the Agência Pública's website.
The deadline has been extended to Aug. 16.
