Journalists from Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico and the US-Mexico border can apply for this training program in Spanish.

The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF), through its Adelante initiative, offers a series of in-country training for journalists. The program will cover investigative journalism in risky situations and address the region's most pressing social issues.

IWMF will select 15 journalists from each country and will cover their transportation, food and lodging. Four three-day workshops will be held May 2019 to July 2020.

Women, men, non-binary, trans and + journalists are eligible. Candidates must have at least five years of professional experience.

The deadline is April 16.
