Investigative journalism workshop on financial forensics open [Latin America]

English-speaking journalists in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Bahamas, Belize, Bolivia, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Grenada, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Panama, Venezuela, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent, Grenadines and Suriname can apply.

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), the Association of Caribbean MediaWorkers (ACM), Connectas, and the Organized Crime and Reporting Project (OCCRP) will host a workshop on financial forensics March 21 to 23 in Barbados.

The training, which will be conducted in English, will expand journalists' ability to use digital tools and reporting methods to identify and track financial fraud across borders.

International airfare, lodging and per diem will be covered by ICFJ for journalists living outside Barbados. Participants will have the opportunity to work on their investigative proposal with OCCRP and Connectas editors and to request funding to complete it.
