A new video illustrates the process of filing access to information requests in Mexico. The Foundation for the Freedom of Expression in Mexico, launched by Knight International Journalism Fellow Benjamín Fernández narrates the video, which is useful for training workshops, seminars and general use.

The video illustrates how a journalist submits requests for public information and explains the difference between confidential information and reserved information.

“A good journalist sees an excellent mechanism in public sources that allows for the understanding of what the State does on behalf of its citizens and with their resources,” the video emphasizes.
