Crown of the Continent Institute offers training for journalists [US]

Journalists interested in environmental topics can apply for a training program in Montana.

The Institute for Journalism and Natural Resources (IJNR) is accepting applications for its Crown of the Continent Institute. This program will introduce journalists to a wide range of subject matter experts including Tribal members, ecologists, wildlife and fisheries biologists, climate scientists, ranchers, land managers, and other stakeholders whose life or livelihood is based on the landscape.

Topics for discussion include transboundary mining, biodiversity and connectivity, bison reintroduction, and more.

Fifteen journalists will be selected to participate in this program which takes place in Montana, Oct. 5 to 11.

IJNR covers all program expenses including food, lodging and local travel.

Priority consideration will be given to journalists of color.

The deadline is Aug. 22.
