Journalists from the Philippines can apply for a fellowship program to produce climate and energy reporting.

The Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities (ICSC) is seeking applications from professional journalists and visual storytellers across the Philippines for its Jaime Espina Klima Correspondents Fellowship.

The fellowship program, launched in 2022 in honor of the late journalist Jaime “Nonoy” Espina, aims to provide space for climate and energy stories in Philippine communities by training provincial journalists and media practitioners.

All media professionals in the Philippines, across all mediums (print, television, digital, radio) are welcome to apply. Interested applicants must form teams of two.

Selected teams will receive a grant of up to PHP100,000, in-person training sessions and the opportunity to consult with media and energy experts, to support their work in telling underreported climate and energy stories in the Philippines.

Apply by Nov. 1.
