Journalists, filmmakers and activists focused on impactful storytelling in the Balkans and neighboring regions through documentary films and podcasts can apply.
The Balkan Documentary Center, with the support of Creative Europe Media, is launching the Balkan Watchers media program.
The program combines tailored training and funding to advance 20 projects: 10 documentaries and 10 podcasts. Six projects (three documentaries and three podcasts) will receive grants of EU25,000 for each documentary film and EU5,000 for each documentary podcast.
The call is open to participants from Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Croatia, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, Cyprus, Malta, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The deadline is Jan. 5, 2025.
