Young journalists based in Rio de Janeiro and Manaus can apply for this program.
Environmental news outlet ((o))eco is accepting applications from young journalists for their Biome Exchange program. The initiative seeks to promote the exchange of knowledge from young people living in two important Brazilian biomes: the Amazon and the Atlantic Forest.
The program will select six applicants, four from the Manaus Metropolitan Area and two from the Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Area. Participants will make a 14-day field trip to Rio de Janeiro and Manaus to visit news organizations, conservation projects and local communities.
Each participant will also get a BRL4,750 grant and mentorship to work on a story to be published by ((o))eco.
The application deadline is Aug. 6.
