Journalists based in Spain may apply for this reporting grant.
As part of the Mediterranean Media Initiative, the Earth Journalism Network is calling for investigative journalism projects that expose the extent of unsustainable management of the Mediterranean Sea, biodiversity loss and illegal fishing.
Three projects will receive up to EUR1,000 each in January 2023, and stories are expected to be published by March 31 of that year. In addition to funding, selected journalists will receive support from experienced mentors during the reporting process.
Applications are accepted in Spanish and English. The deadline is Dec. 17.
