Francophone authors in Africa and Haiti who have at least one individually published book can apply.
Since 2017, ALCA Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Institut des Afriques (idAf), with the support of Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine, have been supporting French-language written works from African territories (Maghreb, sub-Saharan Africa, southern Africa, Madagascar) and Haiti. The 2023 edition of this residency will be co-sponsored with La Maison des écritures et Centre intermondes, the Villa Valmont in Lormont and La Maison des auteurs et des autrices - Des écritures à la scène in Limoges.
The residency will take place from Feb. 20 to April 14, 2023.
The residency covers the cost of round-trip travel between home and residence for the winners and comes with a writing grant of EUR3,200.
The deadline is Nov. 6.
