The Economist is seeking a researcher/news assistant at its Taipei office. The successful candidate will work with the Economist's correspondents in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China and across the world, covering everything from social trends to public policy for the China and Asia sections of the newspaper.
The role will be responsible for conducting research, finding sources, fact-checking and some reporting. Fluency in Mandarin and experience in the news industry are essential. Experience working in China and/or Hong Kong is strongly preferred.
