Posted on Apr 22, 2022 في Environmental Reporting

Journalists from the Asia Pacific region with experience reporting on environmental issues can apply for this paid fellowship.

Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN), with support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), is offering a new fellowship for journalists interested in attending – and reporting from – the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (UN CBD), both in-person in Nairobi, Kenya and remotely as negotiations unfold in Kunming, China.

This fellowship is intended to enable journalists from the region to cover the UN CBD negotiations and the proceedings of the 15th Conference of Parties (COP15) for their home audiences and help journalists increase awareness of biodiversity issues.

Selected fellows will attend the CBD negotiating session for the Global Biodiversity Framework, in-person from June 21 to 26 in Nairobi, Kenya. Fellows will also remotely cover the proceedings of the CBD COP15, to be held in Kunming, China in August .

The deadline is May 1.
