Journalists from Ukraine and the UK with a good knowledge of English can apply.
The program will support participants developmentally and financially to produce creative nonfiction pieces tackling global challenges through the prism of Ukraine. It includes a six-week online writing residency (which will take place May 9 to June 17) and a trip to Kyiv, Ukraine, and to the Chornobyl exclusion zone (May 19 to 22).
Participants will develop their creative pieces through peer-review sessions and workshops with professional writers from Ukraine and the UK. Their texts will be published in Ukrainian and English.
The working language of the residency is English.
Applicants must have at least two publications and an interest in cross-cultural dialogue and the program themes (environment, disinformation, modern war through the prism of Ukraine).
The deadline is March 21.
