Podcast-creators and avid listeners may already be familiar with Spreaker, an audio and distribution platform.

The company's well-known app Spreaker Studio allows you to record a podcast straight from your Android or iOS device, so you can create content anywhere, anytime.

This week, Spreaker expanded its reach by launching a new radio-like mobile app specifically for Android devices. Spreaker Podcast Radio allows users to stream audio and discover new episodes. In the "Channels" section, listeners can peruse podcasts by topic. The "Explore" tab contains fixed podcast lists curated by partners, such as Mashable, The New York Times, Business Insider UK and IJNet. Each partner recommends podcasts based on their expertise, and listeners can easily dive into current and past episodes.

To personalize your experience, the app also makes playlists based on what you listen to. You can also favorite podcasts to check out later and build your own playlists.

While the English radio app is geared toward U.S. audiences, there is also content in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. You can also download the app in Italian or Spanish.

Spreaker Podcast Radio is currently only available on Android devices, but the company plans to debut an iOS version in the spring of 2016.
