Journalists with outstanding stories on chemistry and chemical progress are eligible for a US$5,000 award.
The American Chemical Society (ACS) is accepting nominations for the James T. Grady-James H. Stack Award for Interpreting Chemistry for the Public. The award recognizes outstanding reporting directly to the public, which materially increases the public's knowledge and understanding of chemistry, chemical engineering and related fields.
Information on chemistry and its related fields must have been disseminated through the press, radio, television, films, online media, the lecture platform or books for the lay public.
A medallion and a certificate will also be awarded to the winning recipient.
The deadline for nominations is Nov. 1.
