Funding available for video content of social value [Kyrgyzstan]

Filmmakers can apply for funding to support their projects.

The Internews's Media-K project announces a contest for creators of video content of social value.

The funding is available for short documentaries and feature films as well as other creative projects.

For documentaries, possible topics include disappearing professions, ethnography, research on the nature of stigma towards small groups and subcultures, research on loneliness, generational differences, citizen participation and civic activism.

The documentaries must be up to 20 minutes long and projects must be completed between November 2021 to July 2022, with the funding of US$7,500 per project. A total of eight documentaries will be selected.

Additionally, funding of US$10,000 per project will be awarded for two creative projects that involve collaboration with media and the use of multimedia tools.

The deadline is Oct. 25.
