Journalists who are citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan can apply.
The European Union – Central Asia Water, Environment and Climate Change Cooperation (WECOOP) project, funded by the European Union, launches the contest for journalists "Restoring biodiversity is our shared responsibility."
Entries must be published or broadcasted from August 1, 2020 to July 15, 2021 in Russian or English. Entries in Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Turkmen and Uzbek are also accepted if they are translated into Russian or English.
Six winners will be selected to participate in a study trip to Kyrgyzstan organized by WECOOP, where they will learn more about practices of biodiversity conservation and restoration.
The deadline is July 15.
