Bellingcat seeks projects using open data [Europe]

Bellingcat's Anti-Equality Monitoring Project, sponsored by the Swedish Postcode Foundation, is accepting pitches that use open-source research methods to shed light on the far-right groups and individuals in Central and Eastern Europe.

Over the next two years, the project plans to publish investigations that expose the nature, scale, structures and operations of the far-right across Central and Eastern Europe.

Eligible countries include Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

Contributors, including translators, will receive compensation for their work.

This project will also facilitate several training sessions on digital research and monitoring methodologies.
