Workshop for editors to examine climate change in Latin America

A workshop intended for Latin American editors of all media will focus on the following topics: how to engage Latin American public opinion on climate change; how to demand the government to take action on this issue; and how to provide information, analysis and independent opinion on the private sector's role in global climate change efforts. Deadline: June 29.

The workshop is scheduled to take place July 13 to 16 in San Salvador, El Salvador. Registration costs US$100, not including lodging, travel, and other expenses. There are scholarships available for Salvadorian journalists.

Candidates must send an autobiography, explaining their interest in the workshop, a recommendation letter by their media employer, and samples of recent work on the environment and sustainable development.

The course is organized by Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano (FNPI), with the support of Fundación Empresarial para la Acción Social (FUNDEMAS).
