A seminar in Santiago, Chile on November 3 and 4 will focus on themes including the role of TV and radio in shaping public opinion; whether the Internet and new media strengthen public space; and to what extent the press influences people’s political perception.

The seminar “Opinión Pública y Democracia, el papel de los medios de comunicación en América Latina” (“Public Opinion and Democracy, the media’s role in Latin America”) will feature renowned Latin American and international speakers.

The organizers of the event are inviting Latin American journalists and media professionals of all sectors. It will take place at Universidad Diego Portales. Attendance is free.
