Scholarships available for journalists covering religion

U.S. and Canadian journalists interested in taking religion courses can apply for a US$5,000 scholarship.
The Religion Newswriters Foundation presents the Lilly Scholarships for Journalists program, a grant for full-time journalists to study religion at any accredited college, university or seminary. For a list of accredited schools, click here.
Aimed at enhancing religion reporting for journalists writing for secular media, the scholarship will help reporters build knowledge about religious history, trends, training, theology, doctrine and scriptures.
The scholarship covers expenses including tuition, registration fees and books. Recipients may receive up to four scholarships.
