Practicing West African newspaper and magazine designers are welcome to apply for a scholarship to attend a design course in Cotonou, Benin. Deadline: March 6.

The course will introduce journalists to communication design, visual theory, working on publications in a news room, and targeting designs for diverse audiences.

The scholarship is sponsored by Penpulsbytes, an information and technology organization. Courses will be held at the Universite d'Abomey Calavi, Campus Numerique Francophone de Cotonou, Benin from April 6 to 10.

Interested journalists should submit a completed application, a curriculum vitae, a sample of a newspaper or magazine design, and a statement of purpose.
