Thomson Reuters seeks a video journalist with an international outlook to work in Washington, D.C. The journalist will video-edit news stories using Avid Newscutter, select the best shots, sound-bites and story elements to create natural sound packages to be distributed to international broadcast clients and write scripts to be used by international clients.
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English or a related field and five years of experience as a journalist/reporter with a focus on international news clients, including coverage of world leaders and other major international figures.
The video journalist may serve as acting output editor responsible for the agency and consumer television output from North America and supervise the production of voiced packages, assigning stories to producers and coordinating with international consumer TV production bureaus in London, Singapore and Cairo.
