Red Cross launches creative writing contest [Worldwide]
A writing competition seeks entries on people who have gone missing in situations of violence and armed conflict.
The creative writing competition, sponsored by the British Red Cross, honors the International Day of the Disappeared. Entries should give voice to the thousands of missing people throughout the world.
Entries can be either typed or handwritten and must fit onto one side of A4 paper. Entries in other languages must include an English translation.
The winner will receive a £50 (about U$80) cash prize and a £50 national book voucher. All of the top entries will be compiled and published in a volume for International Day of the Disappeared 2012.
