The Palestinian Center for Development and Media Freedoms (Mada) is calling on Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas to release Palestinian journalists.

The detained journalists include Al-Ayyam newspaper’s editor Fareed Hammad, freelance journalist Khaldun Mathloum, freelance journalist Abdullah Adawi and Aqsa TV cameraman Osaid Amanrneh.

The center is urging the Palestinian president to release the detainees before Eid Al-Fitr, the Muslim’s three-day holiday celebrated after the Muslim fasting holy month of Ramadan.
