One World Media Awards open

Journalists published who pieces in the United Kingdom about social issues abroad can apply for an award.
The One World Media Awards honors underreported stories on social, political or cultural life in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East or former Soviet republics.
The competition has 13 categories: journalist of the year, radio, TV, news, press, new media, drama, popular features, children's rights, sustainable development, documentary, student and a special award.
Entries published between February 8, 2011-January 30, 2012 are eligible.
Entry fees are UK£100 (about US$155) with reduced rates for freelancers and students. The entry fee is UK£125 (about US$193) after January 3.
Submit entries by January 30.
