New online research tool for journalists in Asia
A new online resource aims to connect Asian journalists with experts in various fields of academic research, to help add depth and expertise to news coverage.
ResearchSEA is Asia's first service to connect the news media with new studies and findings from universities, journals and researchers, according to Managing Director Magdeline Pokar.
The service has six research themes: medicine, science, technology, business, culture and people. Currently there are 64 research institutions from 23 countries registered to contribute news to journalists registered with ResearchSEA.
Journalists can either search the Web site for recent news, or they can use it to get contact information for their stories. Registration is free. Once registered, journalists can also receive e-mail updates on the themes that interest them.
