Moroccan court provisionally releases blogger
A few days after he was sentenced to prison for criticizing the king’s social policies, Moroccan blogger Mohammed Erajji was provisionally released by the court of Agadir, pending the outcome of his appeal against the two-year prison sentence he received on September 8.
According to the Paris-based rights group Reporters Without Borders, Erraji’s lawyer who filed the request for a provisional release said “[Erraji’s] provisional release is the result of strong pressure. The decision came from a very high level.”
