Monnet award honors Macedonian coverage of EU

Macedonian journalists have until November 15 to enter a competition for the best coverage of European Union issues. The Jean Monnet Journalist Award is worth EU€500 for the winner.
Broadcast, print and online journalists are all eligible. The EU Mission to Macedonia is offering the annual award for the fourth time, in cooperation with the Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM). The goal is to honor high-quality coverage of the EU and raise awareness of the country’s campaign to join the union.
Participants can submit as many as three works. Entries should be newsworthy and accurate, demonstrating analytical skill and personal style. They also should have been published or broadcast between November 10, 2005, and November 10, 2006.
Copies of the work should accompany a CV, name and address of media outlet, and contact information. Entries should be sent to the Jean Monnet Journalist Award Competition, Delegation of the European Commission, Marsal Tito 12, 1000 Skopje, Macedonia.
