Journalists invited to African Media Technology Conference
Deadline:
Journalists interested in new media technologies are welcome to attend a conference on new practices and technologies in media training to take place in Lagos, Nigeria from August 23 to 27.
Organized by the School of Media and Communication, Pan-African University, the conference seeks to address the revolution in traditional media and the development of such media forms as citizen journalism, social networks, blogs, and news bulletins. The conference will convene specialists in media, education, science and technology, and will address issues of infrastructure, capacity building, and government policy.
Interested African journalists can apply for funding to cover the costs of travel and accommodation. The conference fee is US$150 for international journalists and US$100 for participants from Africa.
