Journal calls for papers about 'military immigration'
Deadline:
The Journal of Power Institutions in Post-Soviet Societies invites writers to submit works about the integration of Russian recruits and military into other contemporary foreign armies. Deadline: July 15.
Potential topics include: importance of “military immigration,” behavior of “immigrant soldiers” in host military organizations, influence of culture and values on integration into foreign armies, “dedovshchina” (violent hazing), “zemliachestvo” (ethnic rivalries), motivation behind becoming an immigrant soldier, and others.
Possible “host countries” include: France (the French Foreign legion), Israel, Germany, Serbia, the United States and others. The journal will be published in English, French and Russian.
