The Huffington Post seeks an editor to manage a team of 10 writers who produce stories related to a wide variety of spot and breaking news to work in its New York City headquarters.

The ideal candidate will be a news junkie, a superlative writer and editor with some management experience who has gotten his or her hands dirty in a breaking-news environment.

Familiarity with online publishing platforms and SEO best practices are key, as the Trends team experiments with new ways to engage with readers, crowdsource content and build the HuffPost community.

Requirements include: bachelor’s degree, three plus years experience in online journalism, strong familiarity with current news, particularly national politics and business proficiency with web writing and social media.
