Fellowship tailored for covering US, Japan issues

Journalists interested in covering topics of pressing concern to the US and Japan may develop their skills through individual, short-term, policy-related projects under the Abe Fellowship for Journalists. Deadline: September 15.
Fellows are expected to produce an analytical article or feature story on one of three topics: 1) Traditional and Non-Traditional Approaches to Security and Diplomacy; 2) Global and Regional Economic Issues; 3) The Role of Civil Society.
The Social Science Research Council and Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership will provide support for six weeks in the US or Japan and nearby countries, with a maximum stipend of US$23,500.
