Euro-Mediterranean Academy for young Journalists to be held in Amman

The Goethe-Institute in Amman, Jordan invites young journalists from Mediterranean and EU member states to participate in the first Euro-Mediterranean Academy for young Journalists in Amman to be held from May 4-15. The last day to apply is March 15.

According to organizers, the Euro-Mediterranean Academy for young Journalists aims to raise “the knowledge of young journalists about the importance of responsible and critical international journalism.”

A total of 18 young adults (no more than 30 years old) from the whole Euro-Mediterranean region, nine from the EU member states and nine from the Mediterranean countries taking part in the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership known as the Barcelona Process (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, and Mauritania) will be selected.

Applicants should be in their last year of journalism training/school or in their first two years of professional work in print or online media, or radio. They also should be fluent in English.
