Dow Jones is seeking an assistant news editor for its office in New York.
Candidates must have keen news judgment and the ability to work independently to manage breaking news in a fast-paced environment. They must be able to assume responsibility for the details of publishing to multiple platforms and think entrepreneurially about bringing readers better information and services on the Web and mobile devices.
The job will include helping produce the Journal’s website as part of a team of editors. The ideal candidate needs to be exceptionally results-oriented and skilled at working as part of a diverse team.
Candidates should have at least five years of post-college journalism experience, including familiarity with online publishing and Web analytics. Experience with Methode and wsj.com internal production systems is desired.
