In Quito, Ecuador, “Cobertura Digital,” an Internet portal specializing in new media, organizes workshops, courses and permanent seminars for the Spanish-speaking digital journalist community. The workshops are produced for groups of 15 people.

Workshop goals are to educate journalists and connect them with online content initiatives for Latin America. Training is intended for traditional media newsrooms that wish to apply the use of new media in daily reporting.

The training plan consists of four modules. Each module lasts 10 hours, and the cost is US$300 per module. The modules are 10 hours long and cost US$200 each.
