Latin American journalists have until April 4 to register for a workshop on cultural journalism, scheduled to take place April 27 to May 2 in Colombia. The course is organized by Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano and the group Colombia es Pasión.

Participants must send an 800-word autobiography; a proposal with three story ideas to cover during the Festival de Vallenato in Colombia; and an individual column or story that must have been published between 2007 and 2008, among other requirements.

A total of 14 journalists who cover themes related to culture for print or digital media will be selected.

Registration costs US$350. There are discounts available for participants who come from other countries in Latin America.
