Latin American editors of all media still have time to register for a workshop on the challenges of climate change, to be held in San Salvador, El Salvador, from July 27 to 30. Deadline: July 13.

The workshop will focus on the following topics: how to engage the public on climate change; how to demand government action on the issue; and how to provide information, analysis and independent opinion on the private sector's role in global climate change efforts.

Registration costs US$100, not including lodging, travel, and other expenses. There are scholarships available for Salvadorian journalists.

Candidates must send an autobiography, explaining their interest in the workshop, a recommendation letter by their media employer, and samples of recent work on the environment and sustainable development.
