Journalists who investigate issues of sexual violence against children and adolescents in Brazil can enter the Tim Lopes investigative journalism contest.

Organized by ANDI - Comunicação e Direitos, the competition will recognize print, radio, TV, web, community and alternative media.

Selected participants will receive funds to produce an investigative report according to the proposed medium. Projects must include a proposal, a production plan, information sources that will be consulted and a budget.

The deadline is February 27. The application form is available online.

The contest is named after Brazilian journalist Tim Lopes, who was murdered while he investigated the sexual exploitation of teenagers in the slums of Rio de Janeiro.
