Individuals around the world who have initiated positive social change and whose vision and courage inspire others to join with them in confronting and challenging injustice, including journalists and media professionals, can be nominated for an International Activist Award, which carries a prize of US$125,000. Deadline for nominations: April 17.

The Gleitsman Program in Leadership for Social Change, part of the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard University, is requesting the nominations.

The winner of the award will also receive a specially commissioned sculpture designed by Maya Lin, the creator of the Vietnam War Memorial.
