Journalists interested in data journalism and social networking can participate in a workshop in London.
The “news:rewired” event, sponsored by Journalism.co.uk and Thomson Reuters, is a one-day event for journalists who want to learn more about the latest tools and strategies to filter large datasets, social networks and audience data.
The keynote speaker is Heather Brooke, journalist and freedom-of-information campaigner. Speakers include Michael Robinson, head of infographics at The Guardian and Alex Gubbay, social media editor for the BBC. The event costs £156 (about US$255).
