Photojournalists can apply for a US$2,500 award.

Proof Media for Social Justice seeks to support one emerging photojournalist with a project related to human rights and social justice issues.

Along with the cash prize, the selected photojournalist can submit work to Ed Kashi of VII for review, guidance and feedback for up to six months, have images featured on PROOF’s website and receive a portfolio and project consultation from Human Rights Watch, a New York based non-profit.

The final three candidates will have their work showcased through GOOD. Second and third place finalists will also have the opportunity for a portfolio review with Newsweek.

Applicants must submit a statement of purpose, project proposal, budget estimate, a portfolio of 10-12 images, resume and a US$10 registration fee by March 15.
