Energy of Word is an international media competition launched in 2004.

The competition, sponsored by Global Energy Prize, aims to reward journalists for their contribution to popularizing energy-related problems. Articles can be nominated by the author or by media organizations.

Past winners include reporter Olga Sukhova for her coverage of Dmitry Medvedev presenting awards to the Global Energy Prize Laureates and the Rosbalt News Agency, for a series of articles devoted to the energy industry.

The award ceremony takes place in St. Petersburg, Russia during the Laureate’s Week of the Global Energy Prize.
