Journalists from Kazakhstan are encouraged to apply for a competition which will select six journalists to receive laptop notebooks as a prize. Deadline: January 25.

Criteria to select winners include: presence of opinions in the same article, using different journalism genres to cover spending of government resources, good language and style, number of published articles about spending of government resources, and effectiveness of the articles (if they helped to make a difference).

The competition is supported by Soros Foundation in Kazakhstan.
