Havana, Cuba will host a meeting of representatives of Latin American communication schools, from October 19 to 22. Deadline: October 16.

The event seeks to promote a public dialogue among scholars, researchers, communication students, members of civil society, and national governments regarding the current state of the profession and its role in social development and strengthening the region’s democracies.

The agenda includes academic and cultural activities such as conferences, debates, lectures, and special events.

Participants can register online. Registration costs CUC$100 (about US$104) for students and CUC$150 (US$157) for professionals.

The meeting, held every three years, is organized by Federación Latinoamericana de Facultades de Comunicación (FELAFACS) and Facultad de Comunicación de la Universidad de La Habana, among others.
