Citizen journalism workshop on new media [India]

Citizen journalists interested in learning about new media tools can apply to attend a workshop in India.

The Desert Resource Center is organizing two workshops for students, rights activists and those working in development or nonprofits to be held November 23-24 in Bikaner and November 26-27 in Jaipur.

Participants will learn multimedia basics with topics including blogging, digital photography, social media, video, audio and more.

Applicants must have English or Hindi skills, basic web skills and experience in writing or journalism.

The course fee is INR1200 (about US$24) and covers breakfast, lunch and beverages.
