Worldwide journalists who cover the United Nations and its agencies and field operations are invited to submit published written and electronic works to a contest that will award over US$40,000 in various categories. Deadline is August 31.

The awards are sponsored by the United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCA). Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon will present prizes at the UNCA Awards Dinner in New York on December 4.

Entries should present impact, insight and originality. Multiple or joint entries are accepted. Works must have been published between September 1, 2008 and August 31, 2009.
