The South Africa-based Gender Links organization invites journalist to submit articles on gender, diversity, elections and the media for the sixth edition of the Gender and Media Diversity Journal. Deadline: February 2.

The issue will focus on “Gender, Diversity, Elections and the Media”  in light of the many expected elections in the Southern African region and the growing role of women in politics.

Contributions may include, but are not limited to, the following broad ideas: accountability and promoting change; making voices count; campaigning; an eye on the media; gender violence and elections; and case studies.

Accepted articles will be paid an honorarium and journalists are encouraged to explore fresh approaches to the topic.
