Filmmakers worldwide whose work relates to anthropology can participate in an international film festival.
The Russian Anthropological Film Festival (RAFF), founded by the Ethnographic Bureau, aims to promote the integration of Russian anthropological cinema into the world cinematographic community. RAFF focuses on man in culture and culture in man.
The festival will take place July 7-10 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
Short documentaries (length up to 40 minutes) produced by filmmakers of any nationality not earlier than 2012 are eligible. Films in languages other than Russian and English must include subtitles.
The contest will award prizes in the following categories: grand prix, best director and best anthropologist. Prizes consist of trophies and diplomas.
The deadline is March 1.
